Gardening in colder climates

Do you live in a cold climate and have eagerly been waiting for summer to come?

Then it's easy to become so impatient when summer arrives that you rush planting new plants in your garden.

But be careful. You know, the earth in your garden may still not be quite ready for the new plants.

Consider warming up the earth with dark plastic or heat cables, or by covering the plants with plastic jugs that work like solar caps.
